104th International Labour Conference Adopted ILO Recommendation No. 204 Concerning the Transition of Informal to Formal Economy

The landmark labour standard for the informal economy was adopted on June 11, 2015 during the 104th International Labour Conference held in the United Nations Palace, Geneva, Switzerland.
Numbered as ILO Recommendation No. 204 Concerning the Transition from the Informal Economy to the Formal, Mr. Guy Rider, Director General of the International Labour Organization said, in his speech during the Final Plenary Sitting  of the Conference, that this gives hope to reduce poverty for half of the humanity.

The Workers' Bureau for the ILO Governing Board on this double standard sitting Recommendation of which one of them, in-charge of Asia Pacific is Susanita Tesiorna, President of ALLWIES.

Susanita Tesiorna was one of the four (4) from the Workers' Bureau who delivered speech in behalf of the Asia-Pacific Workers to support the Workers' Position of the "Conclusion of the Committee on Transitioning the Informal Economy to the Formal" and appealed for affirmative votes.

The ILO R. 204 shall serve as guidance to the member countries of which the challenge is the implementation of member countries.
